This is a Texas State Park, Lake Livingston State Park, located about 10 miles from Livingston, TX. Volunteered as a park host here from March 3 thru May 28 2013. Very nice time of the year to be in this part of Texas. This park has miles of walking trails, a swimming pool, fishing piers, boat ramps, horse back riding, and picnic areas. We had a real good time at this park. The park is really great, well maintain, plenty of sites for the larger RVs. The park rangers and staff are very nice and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and have a lot of hot water. Fishing is allowed in the lake, caught some catfish, crappie, and white bass, good eating size. About fishing in Texas State Parks, NO LICENSE REQUIRED AS LONG AS YOU ARE A PAYING GUEST AT THAT PARK. There are 26 water sites, 69 water & 30 amp electric sites, 44 sites with water, 30 amp electric, and sewer, and 22 sites with water, 50 amp electric, and sewer. All sites back in. We have a 40 ft. 5th wheel and fit in easy. Had water & electric, and sewer at our site. Dump station available. Direct TV, Verizon Cell & Internet worked great. We camped for free because of volunteering our time around the park ( 24 hours per week ). If you do not have the Texas Annual Park Pass, it will cost you an extra $ 5.00 per person, per day. It’s best to purchase the annual pass if you camp a lot in Texas. For more information about Texas State Parks here is the link Texas State Parks . Here a link for Livingston, TX.
