This is a Military FamCamp, US Military Campgrounds & RV Parks . Stayed here 2 days on our way to Lake Livingston, TX. Feb 28 – Mar 1 2013. Close to the main road, so there is a little noise, but not bad. Nice quite and relaxing campground. Not everyone can stay at a Military FamCamp, you must have a valid DoD/Active Duty Military ID Card or Retired DoD/Military ID Card. The campground had 68 full hookup sites. Sites are back-in, pull-thru and were pretty close together, but good for a short stay. We have a 40 ft. 5th wheel and fit in. Had water, electric, & sewer hookups at our site. Direct TV, Verizon Cell & Internet worked great. Paid $20.00 per night. Washers & Dryers were $ .75 each. FamCamp is on base and is easy to get to, check in is at the center of the FamCamp. Commissary & Exchange close by, other shopping and dining out not to far of a drive. Lots to see & do in Gulfport, MS. They have a real good web site to get information from. Gulfport, MS.. I like this FamCamp. Will stay here again.
